On-Field

Daniel forced his way into the NSW setup in 2015/16 from his consistent performances in Sydney Grade Cricket. Since then, he has been a regular fixture at the top of the order for The Blues, claiming three Steve Waugh Medals as NSW Player of the Year for seasons, 2017-18, 2019-20 & 2022/23, as well as winning the NSW Blues One-Day Cup Player of the Season twice for seasons 2019/20 and 2022/23.

Most recently, the 2022/23 Marsh One-Day Cup season saw Daniel have one of the greatest individual seasons in competition history scoring 548 runs at an average of 78.28, including a record-equalling 4 centuries.

Daniel also captained the Sydney Sixers during their BBL10 Campaign, where the Sixers went on to be Champions.

While for most people Daniel is synonymous with red-ball cricket, his record in the 50-over format is outstanding. His career average in domestic one-day cricket of 59.51 is the second highest in the competition’s history, he has also scored the most One-Day Centuries in NSW Blues history and sits with the fourth most Centuries in One-Day Domestic History from only 42 innings.

Daniel signed with Sussex CCC for the 2024 County Cricket Season.

On December 22nd 2023 Daniel became just the 16th player to ever play 100 BBL Games in the SydneySixers win over the Adelaide Strikers at the SCG.

Off-Field

Daniel hails from Cowra in NSW’s Central West, he is extremely proud of his country upbringing and prides himself on his unique path to the top, having not made any age-grade NSW or Australian sides.

He holds a CERT II in Horticulture and enjoys playing Golf when not on the cricket pitch. Daniel is also a die-hard South Sydney Rabbitohs fan.
