Turner Named NSW Swifts Captain for 2026

Congratulations to Maddy Turner, who has been named Captain of the NSW Swifts for the 2026 season. Another brilliant achievement to add to the list of over a decade of service to the red dress.

A defensive stalwart who made her debut in 2016, Turner is one of the most revered players in Swifts history and is set to make her 150th competitive appearance for the Club against the Adelaide Thunderbirds in Round 1 next month.

An Australian Diamond who was named the Super Netball Grand Final MVP in 2021, the 30-year-old has played four Grand Finals for the Swifts, winning Premierships in 2019 and 2021.

Dwarshuis commits to two more years with Sydney Sixers

Congratulations to Driver Avenue Group client Ben Dwrashuis, who has extended his stay with the Sydney Sixers for two more seasons.

Dwarshuis boasts an impressive 117-match Big Bash League career with the Sixers.

Throughout his career with the Sixers, Dwarshius has been instrumental with both the bat and ball leading the Sixers to many legendary wins.

Over the course of his BBL tenure, he has scored 602 runs at a strike rate of 145.06, and has remained not out in nearly half of his innings (29 times).

The left-arm bowler has taken 148 wickets, with a standout best of 5/21 off 23 balls in the 2024 BBL Qualifier to book the Sixers a home final.

Sydney Sixers General Manager Rachael Haynes said the club was thrilled to secure Dwarshuis for another two seasons.

“Ben is a true legend of our club — not just for his extraordinary talent on the field, but for the leadership, professionalism and passion he brings into the club every day.

“We’re delighted to lock him in for another two years.

“He’s a player of immense calibre who consistently delivers for the Sixers and inspires the next generation of cricketers.”
