On-Field
Olivia Callaghan is an emerging all-rounder, featuring as a right-hand batter and right-arm off-spin bowler. She plays Premier Cricket for Gordon Women’s Cricket Club and has progressed strongly through the Cricket NSW pathway, representing NSW Metropolitan at U16 and U19 level, as well as earning selection in the Australian U16 and U19 merit sides.
Recognised as one of the state’s brightest prospects, Olivia was selected in the 2025/26 Cricket NSW Basil Sellers Emerging Players Program and has also represented NSW Second XI.
A natural match-winner, Olivia captained NSW Metro to a U16 National Championship title (2022/23), earning Player of the Final honours. She continued her success at U19 level, named Player of the Final in the 2024/25 National Championships after a standout all-round performance.
In 2025/26, Olivia starred in Gordon’s Ruth Preddey Cup triumph, scoring 62* and taking 5/26 in the final to be named Player of the Match. She also finished among NSW Metro’s leading wicket-takers at the 2025/26 U19 National Championships.
Rounding off the season in which she was the overall champion player in 1st Grade. A highlight of her junior career includes an unbeaten 200* in a record 465-run opening partnership for Gordon’s Second Grade side.
Olivia has further developed her game through the Sydney Sixers WBBL Academy, gaining exposure to elite high-performance environments.
Off-Field
Olivia is currently studying a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Australian Catholic University, balancing her academic and sporting commitments.
She is actively involved in the cricketing community through coaching and mentoring younger players, and has a strong passion for health, performance and athlete development.
