PROFILE: Oscar has a birth vision impairment (Optic Neuropathy/ Nystagmus). He has under less 10% vision (pin-hole) in both eyes.
On-Field
Blind Cricket: Oscar debuted for NSW at the age of 17 and has been Vice-Captain of NSW and five-time National Cricket Inclusion Championships (NCIC) winner including Player of the Final. He holds the record for the highest T20 partnership for NSW of 326 runs versus Tasmania. Oscar scored 158 off 69 balls. Oscar played for Australia at the age of 21. He also took a wicket for his first delivery for Australia. Oscar played the T20 Blind World Cup 2022 in India.
Blind Football: Oscar was selected for the Australian Vision Impaired Football (Futsal) Team at the age of 18. He has played in three International Tours (Malaysia 2018, England 2019 & 2020)
Blind Swimming: Oscar participated in the 2018 Pacific Pan Pac Games in Cairns. Oscar represented Australia at the 2022 Commonwealth Blind Games for Swimming in 50m Freestyle. Oscar twice winner of the 50m Freestyle National Championships.
Blind AFL: Oscar has played four seasons of Blind AFL winning three premierships. He has played for St Kilda, Port Melbourne, Western Bulldogs and Hawthorn. He was awarded a MVP twice in finals and has made the Blind All Stars Team four times.
Off-Field
Beyond Athletics, Oscar is passionate about Music Concerts and Festivals, the Cronulla Sharks and collecting Nike (Jordan) shoes.
Oscar is a fan of Endurance Sports (Triathlons).
Oscar currently works at Cricket NSW in Operations and Administration.
