On-Field

Peter Nevill was a cornerstone of the NSW Blues and Australian Domestic Cricket from 2008 to 2022.

In a stellar career, Peter played 17 Test Matches for Australia, debuting at Lords against England in 2015, upon being awarded the 443rd Australian Test Cricketer. He also is the most capped NSW Sheffield Shield Captain of all time, as well as being 4th on the NSW Sheffield Shield all-time appearances list. He was the winner of the prestigious Steve Waugh Medal for the  2014/2015 season.

Peter was Captain of the NSW side that won the 2019/20 Sheffield Shield. In 2012 Peter became the fastest NSW wicket-keeper to compile 1000 First Class Runs and the third fastest in history.

Peter’s most prominent First Class season came in 2014/15, where he scored 764 runs at an average of 76, including a record-breaking 235 not out against Tasmania, the highest individual innings by a wicketkeeper-batsman in Australia First Class cricket history.

Peter is highly respected as a great Leader and Ambassador for the game of cricket in Australia.

Off-Field

Peter holds a Bachelor of Management (Marketing, Commercial Law) with a Distinction average at Deakin University.

Since retirement, Peter has commenced a Commercial Corporate Career in Finance. He is also fond of the Music industry, the Arts, and Education. In his spare time, he is also a skilled band-playing guitarist.
