Hanno Jacobs

TEAMS: Sturt Junior Cricket Club, South Australia U-19 (2018 – 2019; 2019 – 2020), ACT Cricket Second XI, New South Wales, South Australia.
ROLE: Fast-Bowling All Rounder.
On-Field
Hanno made his first-class debut for New South Wales in February 2025 against Queensland in the Sheffield Shield showcasing his potential and marking a promising start to his career at this level.
Hanno demonstrated his all-round capabilities in the Prime Minister’s XI match against India in late 2024. He scored an impressive 61 runs off 60 balls, including two sixes and four fours, making him the second-highest run-scorer for the innings.
Hanno played his Junior Cricket in the Sturt Junior Cricket Association.
He was also previously a member of the South Australia Under-19s program in 2018 – 2019 & 2019 – 2020, before moving to Canberra to further his studies.
He represented ACT Cricket 2nd XI for a few seasons before moving to Sydney to continue his professional cricket pathways.
In April 2025, he accepted a three-year contract for South Australia (2025-2028).
Off-Field
Hanno studied a Bachelor of Actuarial of Studies BACTS, Financial Mathematics from the Australian National University (ANU) and is completing a Master of Actuarial of Studies from the University of New South Wales (UNSW).
He is currently working in a part-time role as an Analyst at McGrath Nicol Corporate Advisory.
Hanno enjoys spending time with friends and family and has an active outdoor lifestyle.
